The book, inspired by the real-life story of Maria Hallett and her love affair with a notorious pirate, follows main character Madeline, an antique shop owner on the coast of New England, as she solves a paranormal mystery surrounding the items that come into her shop. Book two in the series titled Dark River Magic will be released in 2025.
